The reports record 1 death and 10 injuries. Each account below is quoted exactly as the forecast office filed it, from the NOAA Storm Events Database, and each date opens the federal record of that event.
| When | Event | Place named | Harm | What the report says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| October 1999 | Wildfire | Rincon | 1 killed, 10 hurt, $250,000 | This fire began on September 30 and wasn't fully contained until October 8. A total of 7,691 acres, one house, two trailers, and an out building were burned or destroyed. Campers and counselors at Camp Denver C. Fox and residents in Will Valley were evacuated. Ten fire fighters sustained minor injuries, and another died when a boulder dislodged by the fire struck him. The cost of fighting the fire was near $3 million. |
| January 2008 | Flash Flood | Rincon | $150,000 | A debris flow was triggered by a burst of heavy rain over the Poomacha Burn Area just north of Adams Drive on the Pauma Indian Reservation. The debris flow rushed down an unnamed creek and towards Adams Drive. Once at the bottom of the hill, the debris flow crossed Adams Drive and continued down Pauma Reservation Road all the way to Highway 76. The portion of Adams Drive from the creeks intersection to Pauma Reservation Road was completely impassible due to very deep mud deposits. This area experienced a smaller flow on November 30, 2007.||Two smaller watersheds adjacent to and directly west of this watershed also released debris flows that impacted Adams Drive. Although these flows were not as large, up to one foot of mud was deposited on the roadway. |
| January 2010 | Flash Flood | Rincon | $75,000 | The California Highway Patrol reported flooding and mud across Highway 76 near Rincon Ranch Road in Pauma Valley. The flooding occurred after a narrow band of heavy rain moved over the area, which included the Poomacha Fire burn area. One vehicle became trapped in the mud. |
| January 2010 | Flash Flood | Rincon | $30,000 | San Diego County Flood Control relayed a report from the public of numerous locations of flooded roadways with mud, rocks, and debris along Highway 76 through the La Jolla Reservation. A newspaper reported two feet of mud in the garage of a home in Rincon. This occurred after heavy rain moved over the 2007 Poomacha Fire burn area. |
| June 2000 | Flash Flood | Rincon | $6,000 | no account filed |
| May 2008 | Flash Flood | Rincon | - | Heavy rain from a thunderstorm over the Poomacha Burn Area caused flash flooding in the Pauma Valley. Highway 76 was temporarily closed due to the flash flooding. No reports of serious damage were received. |
| September 1999 | Wildfire | Rincon | - | A wild fire had burnt 650 acres on the La Jolla Indian Reservation as September ended. No property damaged had occurred, but 115 campers and counselors were evacuated from the Denver Fox campground. |
