October 2008Flash FloodShasta$10,000Rainfall near a burn area west of Redding brought debris onto the road. The California Highway Patrol reported a car being hit by rocks from a slide west of Redding. The rockslide was near mile marker 35 on Highway 299 at 11:21PST. A boulder fell in the westbound lane of Highway 299 just west of Big Flat Campground at 13:41PST.
April 2019FloodShasta-Floodwaters rose around it due to a combination of backwater effect caused by a partially plugged culvert and a breach in an upstream levee along the right bank of Rock Creek.
