federal wildfire occurrence database
lists 189 fires within 5 miles of I.O.O.F. Building
between 2005 and 2020, burning about 275 acres in total. None started naturally. 12 were recorded as arson.

Regional context, not property-specific
evidence. The federal mineral resources record lists
22 workings within 5 miles of I.O.O.F. Building: 11 unknowns, 9 producers, 1 occurrence, 1 past producer.
9 still produce. What was taken out: Sand and Gravel, Construction, Calcium. Distance is straight-line from the
map coordinates, so a quarry counted here may appear on a neighbouring
settlement's page as well.
Regional context, not property-specific
evidence. The National Weather Service names
Woodland, the town this property stands in, in 7 storm reports between 1996 and 2024: 3 flood, 2 thunderstorm wind, 1 funnel cloud, 1 hail.
No death or injury is recorded in these reports. Each account below is quoted exactly as the forecast office
filed it, from the NOAA Storm Events Database, and each date
opens the federal record of that event.
Strong straight-line winds downed multiple trees and utility poles near downtown Woodland. Sacramento International Airport reported a max gust of 46 mph. Time was estimated by radar.
A gustnado developed ahead of a line of showers moving through the city of Woodland. The discontinuous damage path was about 1700 feet long and 20 feet across. A tree two feet in diameter was uprooted, a section of metal bleachers were moved, and several tents were damaged. There was minor damage to three mobile homes in a nearby mobile home park, with porches pulled off and large flower pots knocked over.
