“The Lake Adair-Lake Concord Historic District is a U.S. historic district located to the east of Spring Lake including Overbrook Park and to the west of the Lake Adair and Lake Concord in Orlando, Florida. The district located in College Park is roughly bounded by Golfview Street, Edgewater Court, Alameda Street, and Peachtree Road.”

Although the lightning didn't result in a fire, the strike burnt a large amount of insulation within the attic. The burnt insulation was then deposited as thick soot throughout five classrooms and twenty offices via the air conditioning system. The result was one million dollars in property damage.

Nearly 2200 cloud to ground lightning strikes occurred across central Orange County in an hour. The fire damaged eight units, two heavily. Eight families were displaced.
