There was also a video of Hogan's Creek exceeding bank full into the grass and over the sidewalk. At 515 pm, emergency management relayed that there was severe parking lot flooding with vehicles stranded in the parking lot due to Hogans Creek flooding and very poor drainage at UF Shands in the Pavilion parking lot. This is a known drainage issue area. Some flooded water infiltrated into the Pavilion building into the lower floor. Radar indicated about 2-2.5 inches of rainfall in about 1-1.25 hrs across these areas. The cost of damage is an estimate, and it is likely an underestimate for the damage caused. |
