GOOD MEW¥S FOR FITZGERALD. The Railroads have at Last Recognized Fitz Fitze - e Fitze ' gerald, and will sell Tourist Tickets. Through the hard and earnest work of Mr. H. C. McFadden, General Passenger Agent of the A. & 8., and Mr. 1. Gelder, who ex expects - pects expects to open up the big Tourist Hotel, the railroads have made Fitzgerald a tourist point, and hereafter parties in the North can buy a 6 months ticket to the Queen City of the wiregrass. The cities who now enjoy this privilege are Savannah, Brunswick, Thomasville, Albany and Fitzrerald. This is a matter of great convenience to Northern p2ople who every winter flock to the Magic City by the hundreds. Heretofore they have been compelled to buy a one fare ticket to Fitzgerald or buy a tourist ticket to Thomasville or Brunswick and pay local fare from these points to Fitzgerald. When they are ready to return to their Northern homes they are again forced to pay local fare to one of these points so as to have their tickets validated tostart on their homeward v&agc. By this new departure we expect to sce hundreds of new faces among us this winter. With the opening of the Lee-Grant hotel, the tourist travel will be greatly increasedto Fitzgerald. Together with the sever several - al several smaller hotels, and the new brick Paulk hotel on Pine street, plenty of accommodations will be found for those who wish to win winter - ter winter in the Carlsbad of the Sbuth. Great credit should be given Mr. Gelders who made a special trip to Atlanta to confer with Mr. Joseph Richardson, chairman of the Southeastern Passenger Association, and Mr. H. C. Mc- Fadden, the up-to-date General Passenger Agent of the A. &B, who has been working on this matter for several months past. Parties in the North who buy tickets should see that their tickets read via the A. & B.

Editing a Paper. ! Editing a paper, says a provin provincial - cial provincial editor, is a pleasant thing. If the type 1s too large, it doesn't] contain enough reading matter:l if the type is too small, they can't read it; if telegraphic reports are published, some folks say they are nothing but hash; if they were omitted they say there is want for enterprise; if we put in a few joffes, they say we are nothing but rattleheads; if we omit jokes, they say we are an old fossil;if we publish selections, they say we are lazy - say we dare not do otherwise, if we censure, they call us a traitor, if we remain in our office and attend to business, folks say we are too proud to mingle with our fellows, if we goout a bit, they say we had better stay at home{ and get on with our work, if we don't pay our bills promptly, folks say we arenot to be trusted, if we pay promptly, they say we stole the money. Read the "'Leopard's Spots." You can get the back numbers at this office.
