1 since 2011

Regional context, not property-specific evidence. The National Weather Service names Hamburg in 1 storm report in 2011: 1 flash flood. No death or injury is recorded in these reports. Each account below is quoted exactly as the forecast office filed it, from the NOAA Storm Events Database, and each date opens the federal record of that event.

WhenEvent Place namedHarm What the report says
June 2011Flash FloodHamburg-Up to four inches of rain fell onto already saturated soils causing flash flooding. Numerous roads were flooded including Illinois Routes 140 and 127 in places. West Ayers Road at Poke Avenue, just east of Illinois Route 127, had to be completely closed to traffic when the road was washed away when a large culvert gaveaway. Several vehicles became stranded, especially in the Greenville area, so water rescues had to be performed. No injuries were reported because of this.
