September 2012	Tornado (EF1)	Okawville	1 hurt	A tornado touched down near I-64 on the north side of Okawville where it blew an eastbound tractor trailer to the southwest into the median. The driver sustained minor injuries. The tornado travelled east and damaged a barn and other outbuildings at a farm along Illinois Route 177 about a quarter of a mile west of Cord Road. Roof panels were blown off, some large tree limbs blown down and several calf hutches blown about, some of which had calves in them. At Cord Road and Illinois Route 177, tin roof panels were blown off of another barn. About a quarter of a mile east of Cord Road, along Illinois Route 177, power lines were blown down, a small barn lost its roof and a mason block building was blown down. The tornado continued to move almost due east along Illinois Route 177 where it damaged a home at the intersection of IL Route 177 and Phobe Road. Roof shingles were blown off and several large tree branches were broken. One branch went through the roof of the garage and another damaged a car in the driveway. All of the damage so far was EF0. Near the intersection of Illinois Route 177 and County Road 4, the tornado destroyed a small barn. This damage was rated EF1 with a maximum wind speed of 100 mph. The tornado then turned a bit to the southeast and quickly dissipated over open fields. Overall, the path length was approximately 4 miles with a max path width of 100 yards.
April 1994	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	$500	The county ESDA director reported large trees down or damaged near the town of Okawville and other tree damage was reported south of Lively Grove on Highway 153.
March 2026	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	A broadcast meteorologist reported wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph in Okawville.
April 2024	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	Tree debris was found off of I-64 at the Okawville exit.
July 2023	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	Widespread wind damage along the I-64 corridor in Washington County. Numerous tree limbs, power lines and several large trees were blown down in Okawville, Nashville and New Minden.
March 2017	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	As a severe thunderstorm moved across Washington County, several trees were snapped off along I-64. Also, a semi was blown over into the median at mile marker 55 on Interstate 64. No injuries were reported.
September 2015	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	Thunderstorm winds blew down numerous large tree limbs and bent a flag pole at a 45 degree angle.
May 2013	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	Thunderstorm winds blew down a couple of trees as well as numerous tree limbs around town. Also, several homes sustained minor shingle damage.
June 2011	Flash Flood	Okawville	-	Up to three inches of rain fell onto already saturated soils causing flash flooding. Several roads were flooded including Illinois Routes 160 and 15 between Addieville and Nashville.
June 2011	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	Thunderstorm winds blew down several large trees and numerous tree limbs. One tree fell onto a home causing moderate damage and another tree fell onto a garage causing moderate damage.
February 2011	Tornado (EF0)	Okawville	-	The tornado formed just to the southwest of Okawville. The tornado moved across the south side of town and damaged the local grain elevator, produced some minor roof and exterior damage to houses along the south side of East Schumacher Street. The Emmanuel Lutheran School also sustained some minor roof damage. The tornado continued to the east where it produced some additional damage and snapped an 8-10 inch diameter tree trunk approximately 6 feet off the ground. The tornado continued east until it damaged a house on Hummingbird Road. This house suffered an unknown amount of roof damage because it was in the process of being repaired. There was also minor tree damage and an outbuilding that was destroyed with the debris scattered several hundred yards to the northeast. The tornado lifted just to the east of this location. Path length was 2.8 miles with a maximum width of 50 yards and rated EF0.
May 2008	Heavy Rain	Okawville	-	Heavy rain caused localized flooding of roads and small streams across most of central to eastern Washington County. Roads were reported covered with water from Okawville to Irvington. Highway 177 was closed due to water from Little Crooked Creek.
July 2006	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	Numerous trees were blown down.
September 2006	Hail	Okawville	-	Reported just north of State Route 15, south of Okawville.
November 2005	Hail	Okawville	-	The County Sheriff reported 1 inch hail.
July 2004	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	Local law enforcement reported some trees down in Okawville.
May 2002	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	Storm spotters reported trees and power lines down. Outbuildings were damaged and there was minor damage to some homes.
May 2002	Thunderstorm Wind	Okawville	-	Thunderstorm wind gusts caused damage along Route 160 between Okawville and Addieville. One home suffered damage to a porch and part of the roof. Some fencing was blown down as were some power poles.
