August 2006	Lightning	Ligonier	$2,500	Lightning struck a Dodge Durango trevelling along US 6 near county road 600 west. The male driver and his children were not injured. However, the electrical system was destroyed, leaving them briefly stranded. Damage is estimated at $2,500.
