Population over time
2 figuresOak Hill fell from 569 to 545 between 2010 and 2020. These are the recorded population figures Wikidata holds for this place, reached through the Geographic Names Information System number this page is keyed on rather than by name, so they belong to this place and not to another of the same name. Most are census counts, but not all are: an early figure may be a founding or settlement estimate, and an estimate published within five years of a census is left out. The change column is computed, and is left blank where more than 20 years separate a figure from the one before it, because a gap that long is not a change between two counts.

Storms near this place
3 since 2008Regional context, not property-specific evidence. The National Weather Service names Oak Hill in 3 storm reports between 2008 and 2019: 2 flash flood, 1 flood. No death or injury is recorded in these reports. Each account below is quoted exactly as the forecast office filed it, from the NOAA Storm Events Database, and each date opens the federal record of that event.
| When | Event | Place named | Harm | What the report says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| July 2019 | Flash Flood | Oak Hill | $3,500,000 | Thunderstorms moved repeatedly over Manistee County in the morning and afternoon of the 20th. Excessive rainfall produced substantial flooding across central and southern Manistee County. By late on the 20th, rainfall totals reached 8.90 in Parkdale (near Manistee), and 5.95 in Wellston. Water entered numerous homes and stores in the greater Manistee area, and in Dublin, resulting in property damage. The campground at Orchard Beach State Park was at one point under four feet of water. Many roads were flooded and closed to travel for several hours. 12th Street in the city of Manistee was washed out. Places near the Manistee River were most susceptible to flooding. |
| June 2008 | Flash Flood | Oak Hill | $970,000 | Spotters in Manistee and Wellston measured around six inches of rain in a few hours very late on the 12th into the pre-dawn hours of the 13th. Radar estimated up to ten inches of rainfall along the southern border of Manistee County. Substantial flash flooding resulted, with considerable soil erosion, thanks in part to the sandy soils of the area. At one point the majority of roads in the south half of Manistee County were under water. High water entered some homes. In the city of Manistee, asphalt, stop signs, and light posts were flushed into Lake Michigan by the raging waters. The county road commission estimated $500,000 in damages to the county road system. |
| July 2019 | Flood | Oak Hill | - | See earlier flash flood event in Manistee County. Flooding lingered in southern Manistee County for much of the following night, with numerous roads closed and barricaded. |
