June 2017	Flood	Nimrod	$50,000	Granite county saw widespread impacts from the heavy rain. Philipsburg, MT received 3.28 inches of rain in 24 hours from noon 6/12 through noon 6/13. A public report from Georgetown Lake, MT had a measured 3.7 inches of rain over the 2-day event. Fred Burr Creek was particularly hard hit, with private driveway bridges being washed out, thus stranding a couple residents. Many of these same residents had basement flooding as well. USGS stream gauges on Boulder Creek near Maxville recorded 1410 cfs; 1000 cfs begins to cause road flooding issues, and this was much above this impact level. Rock Creek and Flint Creek both saw extremely rapid and high flows, with water spilling into adjacent fields. Georgetown Lake over-topped its spillway for the first time in years. Sapphire Mountain ditch managers narrowly avoided damage to a major irrigation channel feeding the Bitterroot Valley.
July 2008	Hail	Philipsburg	$12,000	State employee 14 miles south of Philipsburg near Georgetown Lake reported 1.75 inch hail.
August 2013	Flash Flood	New Chicago	$5,000	A slow moving wet thunderstorm dumped at least 1 of rainfall in one hour just southeast of Drummond. A rancher experienced a 5 foot wall of fast moving water that moved down their driveway. The fast flowing water laden with pea-sized hail and mud severely damaged grain & alfalfa crops, irrigation sprinklers and a fence. They said it was the worst flooding in at least 20 years.
August 2010	Flash Flood	(3du)Drummond	$1,000	A flash flood came out of Edwards Gulch and brought debris, including mud and rocks, as well as water, into buildings on the west side of town. There was also some basement flooding.
August 2008	Heavy Rain	Bearmouth	$1,000	National Weather Service employee reported that heavy rainfall from a thunderstorms caused a rock and debris slide with some overwash onto the frontage road near Bearmouth Lodge.
August 2013	Flash Flood	(3du)Drummond	$500	A slow moving thunderstorm produced over an inch of rain in less than one hour during the evening of August 9, 2013 over the terrain southeast of Drummond, Montana. This triggered a flash flood up to four feet high that moved from small hillside gulches located north of Interstate 90 over the highway. One vehicle slid off the road and I-90 was shut down for a period of time until the water levels subsided.
July 2025	Thunderstorm Wind	Ravenna	-	A large Cottonwood tree was downed near mile-marker 27 on Rock Creek Road. The Missoula International Airport(KMSO), recorded peak wind gusts of 60 mph at 1902 and 1909 MDT.
June 2023	Debris Flow	Nimrod	-	A layer of mud was found caked over the Drummond Frontage Road the day after the rainfall which depicted that a debris flow had occurred.
July 2022	Hail	Philipsburg Arpt	-	Radar indicated 60 dbz reflectivity to 30k feet MSL, and there was evidence of meso-cyclone rotation in velocity products. A spotter reported 0.88 hail with no reports of damage in Georgetown Lake. Another member of the public reported seeing a funnel cloud from the storm south of Phillipsburg.
July 2022	Hail	Bearmouth	-	The hail accumulated to a depth of 2 feet.
July 2021	Hail	Garnet	-	This particular thunderstorm developed off the outflow boundary from a previous severe storm affecting Missoula and Powell Counties. The FBAN on the Anderson Hill Fire reported large hail and heavy rain had fallen on the fire. In fact, he said sufficient hail had fallen to cover the ground white. The storm continued to Monture Ranger Station where a ranger reported 2 hail and damage to vehicle windscreens (unknown number of vehicles).
July 2019	Hail	Ravenna	-	A severe thunderstorm dropped hail up to two inches in diameter on a small rural community in the Rock Creek drainage.
July 2019	Hail	Ravenna	-	Quarter-size hail was reported in the rural community of Quigley, Montana.
May 2018	Hail	Hall	-	Approximately fifteen hours after the event, NWS employees found hail near the size of quarters on the side of a building in Hall. There was also evidence of very heavy rain with this storm.
July 2018	Hail	Southern Cross	-	The public reported hail covering the ground southwest of Hall. Golf ball sized hail was the largest stone observed.
June 2018	Flood	New Chicago	-	Extensive field flooding occurred along the Clark Fork River between Drummond and Garrison Junction. Jens Frontage Road along Interstate 90 had water flowing over it in several places.
May 2017	Hail	Southern Cross	-	A local resident reported ground covered with quarter-sized hail. A few strikes of lightning accompanied the storm.
July 2014	Thunderstorm Wind	Hall	-	Several 6 inch diameter limbs blown down from a tall and very sturdy tree in the location of the inflow of a supercell thunderstorm.
July 2014	Heavy Rain	Philipsburg	-	Weather observer reported 1.27 of rainfall.
August 2013	Hail	(3du)Drummond	-	A person from the public reported penny size hail in Drummond.
August 2013	Hail	Philipsburg Arpt	-	A CoCoRaHS member reported penny size hail on the south side of Georgetown Lake.
June 2012	Hail	Philipsburg Arpt	-	A spotter 3 miles southwest of Georgetown estimated 1.00 inch hail, and heavy rain.
June 2011	Flood	Philipsburg	-	Boulder creek near Maxville flooded and isolated one resident. A road flooded near the east fork of Rock creek. Debris piled up against many bridges across the county. Many residents protected their property with sandbags.
August 2010	Hail	(3du)Drummond	-	Nickel sized hail was accompanied by heavy rain.
August 2009	Hail	(Dru)Drummond Arpt	-	VFW Post customers reported having to pull over because of size and intensity of hail along the road between Hall to Maxville.

Flathead County,09,1930MST,,,0,0,?,?,TSTM WIND Whitefish Many trees were knocked down in Whitefish by winds estimated at about 60 mph. The winds caused 5 foot swells on nearby Whitefish Lake.
