The church is an It retains many of the qualities of this architectural style: white limestone, buttresses, semi-circular topped windows, terra cotta detailing, monolithic structure and a front Exterior Description spire that was never completed due to lack of funds. A semi-circular arch caps the windows, and a running billet, which continues across the entire church, connects all the arches. All the buttresses are capped by a smooth cornice element. All of the detailing on these windows and the façades of the church are terra cotta. Like the circular window on the tower, some of the terra cotta on the windows has also been damaged. On the north façade of the building is an addition that was built in 1859. It is currently known as the Fellowship Hall and houses a kitchen and Westminster Church example of Romanesque Revival, which was popular in the United States ca. 1840-1870. In the 1920s a tornado ripped part which appear to be original, consist of a series of regularly spaced Queen post members supporting the two side gables of the roof and the ceiling. Brackets with pendants provide done in pine and has many of the common decorative molding features of the Romanesque style. Originally, there was not a wall on the balcony, and the windows on the front façade of the church were visible from the nave. The balcony divide was added the same style as the trusses support the overhang of the balcony. The pine staircase on the east side of the church is a beautiful feature. Originally, there was an identical staircase on the west side, but it was removed during a renovation (date unknown) and a prayer room has since been put in its place. From this staircase it is possible to see the beautiful restored stained glass windows that flank the tower.

The doors in the church are windows have floral designs and, none of them have a religious scene. The organ pipes were not original to the church, but were probably added about the same time as the semi circular apse that has a ribbed ceiling.
