Description of the property

The original portion of the house is a 2-1/2 story, temple-form, Greek revival sandstone slabs. Steps are limestone. Brick pilasters with wood capitals complete The facade has five full length windows, three on the second floor and two on the not original, is a plain, rectangular transom. The door and front windows are framed a one-story, rectangular bay window. Fenestration of the addition is very plain gingerbread porch on the addition, but it was removed in 1937. Both portions have original, metal, standing seam, roofs.

There are three chimneys, two interior on the south side of the original house, and one irregular fenestration, two small windows in the gable, three, not aligned, on are separated with 12', sliding doors, and three rooms and a hall on the second floor, The addition has four rooms, two per floor; an enclosed stairway; inside shutters at the rear of the house in the early 1960's. Statement of significance
