Further Description of Important Features Simple brick structure with wide round arched center doorway with radiating voussoirs, keystone and squinched windows with radiating voussoirs. East side windows and door have been bricked up. interior remodeled In 1974 small addition along N. side and a large 2-story addition at E end were completed 3. History and Significance Early blacksmith & wagon building factory of Charles Fogsclang located on this site, between 1850 & 55, taken over by Theadore J. Steinbauer in 1864, Steinbauer became Dublin's second mayor in 1881 (the 1st mayor after permanent incorporation). He operated blacksmith shop here until 1902, this structure was built by him in 1877. 4. Description of Environment and Outbuildings rear of lot serves as parking lot 8.
