Further Description of Important Features Main portion of church built in 1887, tower and sacristy added in 1927. Tower redone in late 1940's when spire was removed and low domed belfry erected. A statue of St. Joseph in niche in facade of tower above arched doorway. Inside white Gothic altars are set off by frescoed walls and ornamented ceilings. Second generation church. 43. History and Significance Convent was built here in 1856, the last of Father Brunner's foundations for the Precious Blood sisters. The Parish was formed in 1852 and is two miles west of Minster, the mother church for the area. The three story brick convent now reduced to one story covered with white siding still stands northwest of church in original location. Father Hoying says church will (over) 44. Description of Environment and Outbuildings This church is at a desolate crossroads.

To the north is the rectory and then the cemetery. Across the road north is the stucco school. Only one business is in this village. 45. Further Description of Important Features Solid brick house with closed-in front porch that is typical of rectories built at the archbishop's ruling around the turn of t e century. Small dormer in front has hip roof. This building sits with the church buildings on an isolated crossroads. 3.

History and Significance The convent for the sisters was the last of ten that were built by Father Brummer from 1846-1855. Later the church, cemetery, rectory and school were built to take care of the needs of the parish that originated here in 1856. This complex of buildings is endangered because the parish is too small and priests are too few. 4. Description of Environment and Outbuildings Egypt church is to the south, cemetery to north.
