Further Description of Important Features This building is accented by stone trim above the windows, slightly arched window openings, a stone string course at the top, and a crowning central pediment containing the namestone. At the street level are large plate glass windows shielded from the sun by a retractable awning. 43. History and Significance This was originally the office building for Doctor Engleby. It is a good example of turn-of-the-century commercial architecture. 44.

Description of Environment and Outbuildings This is the last in a row of commercial buildings along the west side of South Main Street between Liberty Avenue and the ConRail tracks. They continue to use the N.R. forms, with a not justification, yet also fall about the intact historic setting.

Many the statement of significance leave a lot to be desired, I have separated the ones that are especially poor. Braham 10.22.79 ARCHEOLOGIST 11.8.79 Appt - discussed with state - while some of the A.R. components are on the weak side, I guess I can accept, based on state assurances that these are the eligible resources & that the N.R. forms is the best approach.
