Statement of significance

St. Francis Xavier Church, built 1860, is significant for its historic ca, 1929. first bishop of Cincinnati, built a larger brick church on the site. the city, the Sycamore Street church was turned over to the Jesuit Though there is no parish remaining, because of its location in the central business district, it has been carefully maintained.
