(in one paragraph) This building is nominated for its significance as an extremely fine example of as a singular example of this specific eclectic Victorian style in the Norwalk area and is made up of many materials and techiques which defy duplication by today's local architect Marlin Dunton, who was himself a citizen of some prominence and in- of the building, its strong reference to verticality, and the symmetry on the east with the use of the round bay on the building, on the building's south elevation as well as the variation of the slate shapes in the imbricated pattern on the roof.
