Schweinfurth in the late 1890's and in the early twentieth centüry were designed in a face stone bay window. The use of the materials in this building shows an affinity to variety of styles. Later work by Schweinfurth included the Shingle style W.H.Boardman House style Union Club 1906 (NR 1974), and the Federal Revival style Gordon Morrill House, The Cathedral Home and the Cathedral fall into the later phase of Schweinfurth's its style due to its massing, its highly pitched multi-gable roof, and a two story rough designed in a simplified Jacobethan style.
