Statement of significance

(in one paragraph) DuBrul, an important Cincinnati inventor and industrialist fo the late 19th and early 20th to tobacco producers and because of its optimum transportation facilities, cigar manufacturing under criteria C.as an example of a Chateauesque estate-type residence designed by the turn- of-the-century Cincinnati architect, William W. Franklin. Its sité on a hilltop over- Cote Bonneville was built in 1902 by Napoleon DrBrul (De Breuil) a French Canadian born inventor and merchant who migrated to Cincinnati in 1872. Du Brul was born at Ste. Genevieve, Point settled the claim for a reputed amount of $5,000 which he used for capital for his manufactur- his cigar mold firm until a month before his death in October 1916 W. Franklin was born in London, England in 1848.
