Constructed in ca. 1920, Craftsman style features include a steep gable roof carried by prominent trusses, which terminate in a glazed fieldstone porch. The clapboard-clad building rests on a similar fieldstone faced foundation. A massive fieldstone chimney breaks the roof slope, as do two prominent dormers trimmed with half-timbering and trusses.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE (Explain the role owners played in local or state history and how the building relates to the development of the community.) 606 Prospect Street is significant as a well preserved Craftsman Style bungalow associated historically with the development of single-family subdivisions in the first decades of the 20th century. Subdivision of surrounding farmland along Prospect Street did not occur until after the introduction of streetcars at the turn of the century. The 1725 town pound originally stood on the corner of this property and the 1726 first meeting house was located across thestreet. This building possesses integrity of location, design, setting, materials, and workmanship. It meets criteria A and C of the National Register of Historic Places.
