Description Materials (enter categories from instructions) Other: Saddlebag foundation _ walls - The 1-1/2 story structure has rectangular massing, eave orlentation, and a moderate pitch rear elevation in the 1940s. The addition is not visible from the road and does not detract from the facade view of the house. The facade indicates 2 structural bays and a, w window and an original door opening. The 12/12 casement window on the rear elevation is a wall separating the two sides was removed, probably during the 1940s, and the center with carport is located northwest of the house. Applicable National Register Criteria Areas of Significance (enter categories from instructions) Period of Significance Significant Dates c. 1858-1896 Community Planning & Development MIIl Worker House #1 is being nominated for the National Register under Criterion A for significance to the areas of Industry and Community Planning and Development, and Related Resources of Liberty and Delaware Townships, Delaware County, Ohio; Steam-powered The land on which this house is situated, known as In-lot f3, was once part of a 625 acre farm purchased by Forrest Meeker in 1811. Meeker sold this section in 1838 to Hosea Willlams and Caleb Howard who proceeded to construct housing for mill workers employed at their adjacent paper mill.

The current limestone worker cottage was completed on this as follows: Benuel Seigfled (1866-1870), Olive Eaton (1870-1872), Mervin Crowl double or it simply had a saddlebag floorplan.
