August 2022Flash FloodHunter-The MIC at the Elko office reported that 1 to 2 miles east of the South Fork Reservoir, a wash on the east side of the lake filled and overflowed. It was also noted that the overflowing water picked up some debris or had some mixed in it. The water overflowed onto the road for a few inches of depth. Additionally, it was noted that the road that goes around the lake has a steep cliff, and mud and dirt came down the cliff onto the road. This occurred inside a Flood Advisory that was in effect for the area.
