The Battenville river gage located on the right bank downstream from the bridge on County Highway 61, 1.8 miles downstream from Whitaker Brook, and 2 miles upstream from Trout Brook exceeded its 12 foot flood stage at 12:28 am EST August 29th, its 14 foot moderate flood stage at 6:38 am, crested at 14.27 feet at 8:45 am August 29th, and then dropped below flood stage at 12:05 am August 30th. At a level of 11 feet, water begins to overflow onto nearby farmland.
April 2007FloodMiddle Falls-Significant snowmelt led to moderate flooding of the Hudson River at Schuylerville. The river crested at 92.8 feet at 0600 EST on April 25th, and remained above the flood stage of 90 feet through April 30th.
