“Mixter Blacksmith Shop is a historic blacksmith shop located at Warrensburg, Warren County, New York. It was built about 1840 in the Greek Revival style to house a commercial operation and modified about 1890 in the Queen Anne style to accommodate mixed use activities.”

Flooding occurred along the Hudson River between Warrensburg and The Glen due to an ice jam. People were stranded in houses on Glen Creek Road and one family was evacuated. The water eroded a portion of River Road in the town of Thurman and flooded the Glen Hudson campsite, prompting an evacuation of the owners. The water and ice also spread onto Cronin's Golf Course. To the south, water and ice flowed over the Route 418 bridge, resulting in an extended closure for the better part of 12 days. Stony Creek Road was also flooded near Cameron Road.
The Schroon River rose to moderate flood stage resulting in flooding and washouts along Schroon River Road and East Schroon River Road near Warrensburg.
Severe thunderstorms moved across parts of eastern New York ahead of a low pressure system which was moving into the area during the afternoon hours of July 30th. Thunderstorm winds downed trees and powerlines with Washington and Herkimer Counties being hardest hit. In Colonie torrential rains resulted in an urban flood as storm drains backed up.
Warren County Emergency Managers, with the help of local broadcast media partners, reported that at 10 A.M. on Thursday, March 12th, an ice jam that had accumulated near the Route 28 Bridge at The Glen in Johnsburg, NY broke free and rapidly flowed downstream. Large chunks of ice were swiftly carried downstream towards the towns of Thurman and Warrensburg. In the town of Warrensburg, portions of the Warren County Fish Hatchery become inundated with large pieces of ice and water from a nearby branch off the Hudson River. The ice jam flooding impacted some of the facility's land for several days.
The Northway, Interstate 87, was closed between Exits 23 and 25 due to water and debris covering the road. The southbound lanes were re-opened just before 6:30 pm EDT, however the northbound lanes remained closed until 9:30 pm EDT.
On May 1, at Riverbank, the Schroon River had some lingering flooding from heavy rainfall during the last week in April. The water level dropped below the 7-foot Riverbank flood stage at 18:45 EST.
