“Lake View Grange No. 970, also known as the Westport Town Offices and Depew's Roller Rink, is a historic Grange building located at Westport, Essex County, New York. It was built about 1920, and is a two-story, gable front frame building with Colonial Revival style design elements.”

Extensive tree damage in Westport, including Stevenson road. Numerous trees snapped or uprooted onto utility lines, homes and other structures. Utility reported at least 40 poles needed to be replaced.
A warm front moved northeast through northern New York during the early morning hours of July 9th resulting in severe thunderstorms across parts of the area. Thunderstorm winds downed powerlines in Gouverneur and trees and powerlines in Wadhams and Westport. In Canton lightning started a fire which destroyed a garage and three cars.
