“The Jug Tavern, also known as the Davids-Garrison House or the Grapevine Inn, is located at the junction of Revolutionary Road and Rockledge Avenue in Sparta section of Ossining, New York, United States. It is a wood frame building, the oldest elements of which date to the mid-18th century, before the American Revolution, making it possibly the oldest structure in the village.”

December 2006Thunderstorm WindOssining-A television camera man reported large diameter trees snapped off. The Journal News showed a tree that fell onto a crushed a truck on Ferris Place in Ossining. Power lines and a transformer were also damaged.
August 2002Thunderstorm WindOssining-As a line of severe thunderstorms moved southeast, it produced high winds that downed numerous trees and power lines from Ossining northeast to Croton Falls. Local police and newspapers reported numerous trees and power lines downed in Ossining. Several newspapers reported that a large tree toppled over onto a moving car on Route 22 in Croton Falls.
April 1994Thunderstorm WindOssining-A cold front sweeping across the region generated a line of heavy showers and thunderstorms. Some trees and power lines were downed as strong winds aloft were brought to the surface in the thunderstorms downdraft. Winds gusted between 50 and 60 knots for only a couple of minutes as the outflow generated by the parent storm passed through. Some residents reported that the sky never blackened and there was no thunder or lightning when the actual winds struck.
