“The Stone Street Historic District is a one-block section of the west side of that street in the hamlet of New Hamburg, New York, United States. It was recognized as a historic district and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987 as the largest group of intact houses in the hamlet.”

Major flooding occurred on the Wappingers Creek. The Wappingers Falls river gage located on left bank 700 feet downstream from Red Oaks Mill dam, and 4.5 miles northeast of village of Wappingers Falls exceeded its 8 foot flood stage at 11:00 am EST August 28th, its 10 foot moderate flood stage at 1:50 pm, its 14 foot major flood stage at 8:47 pm, crested at 15.29 feet at 12:15 am August 29th, and then dropped below flood stage at 1:42 am August 30th.
