July 1997	Lightning	Sisters	-	A lightning strike knocked out a pump at a wastewater treatment plant causing between 50,000 and 70,000 gallons of wastewater to spill into Indian Ford Creek.
September 1997	Lightning	Sisters	-	Lightning blew two fuses in Cloverdale leaving customers with out power for two and a half hours. Several trees were damaged or destroyed in Sisters and Cloverdale.
