Thunderstorms that produced locally five to seven inches of rain inundated the east side of Columbus during the evening. Street flooding occurred from Bexley north to Gahanna with numerous road closures. Several homes in Bexley neighborhoods had flooded basements, with high water forcing 25 families out of their homes. Seventeen structures sustained major damage from flooding.

Description of the property
The Franz (Francis) Huntington Residence, which was completed in 1926 is one of the Alfred Hopkins, a New York City architect, in the Jacobethan Revival style. concrete foundation. The building is enormous, irregular in plan and 2½ stories in height with a slate covered steeply pitched, gable roof.
