A 19-year old woman was struck by lightning outside her home as she was attempting to move a large umbrella. She was taken to the local hospital and listed in satisfactory condition.
Widespread trees and power lines down across Dover, Mineral City, and Sherrodsville. Some trees were on homes in these locations, no injuries reported.

Statement of significance
ca. 1891 - 1920 1891, C. 1920 State significance of property, and justify criteria, criteria considerations, and areas and periods of significance noted above. The Rinderknecht House is significant, under Criterion C for architecture, as an Anne style. The varied roofline, with cross gables and smaller dormer and porch gables; and the multi-textured wall surfaces, with shiplap siding, shingle-decorated gables, and patterned wood shingles separated by raised horizontal and vertical bands; also compliments the overall design, with rather simple window, door, and china cabinet Bernhard House, N.R.
listed 12/9/88) and both brick examples mentioned above, had their intact frame house, on West Sixth Street, is being moved to a nearby site to save it Architecture See continuation sheet Significant Person integral second-story and wrap-around porches with outstanding spindlework and slender Unknown Anne style.
and contributes still retain notable architectural integrity; two distinctive brick houses with Significant Dates Richardsonian Romanesque detailing also survive.One of the frame houses concentrated primarily along East Third Street and North Wooster Avenue, interspersed Architect/Builder Areas of Significance (enter categories from instructions) Period of Significance and exhibiting many of the design elements that are most characteristic of the Queen porches modified with locally manufactured rock-faced precast block.The other largely an outstanding example of Queen Anne architecture, retaining a high degree of integrity among the far more numerous Italianate houses which are also clustered along these two most highly developed examples of Queen Anne frame architecture; it is significant as Applicable National Register Criteria streets.Among these, there are only two other frame Queen Anne houses in Dover which Cultural Affiliation to the setting and significance of the house.
