The rancher disappeared on the evening of the 9th when we went out to move cattle out of the flood waters. His body was recovered on his property under 5 feet of water on the 11th.

Many of the metal panels were removed from the barn and part of the barn collapsed. Many of the vintage internal contents were damaged. Wind driven hail also cracked and shattered windows and windshields, but no hail size could be obtained.

The tornado moved northward, causing scattered tree damage as it crossed Highway 7. Several homes and outbuildings sustained minor structural damage as the tornado paralleled Falls County Road 436. One manufactured home sustained EF-1 type damage (DI 2, DOD 7) near the county line with McLennan. The tornado traveled farther north, approximately half a mile inside the limits of McLennan County, dissipating before it reached Bruceville and Interstate 35. The tornado was rated an EF-1 in Falls County with maximum estimated winds of 100 mph. It traveled about 2.33 miles in Falls County before exiting the county around 532 pm CDT.

A foot of water was over the intersection of Highways 6 and 46. Areas along Highway 114, Highway 14, and FM 413 towards Kosse were also flooded. FM 2413 was closed from FM 413 to the Robertson County line. One tree fell over after six to eight inches of rain fell. Caywood Center Park were flooded with water reaching the tops of picnic tables.
