Major record flooding occurred along the San Jacinto River and tributaries. Water was reported over sections of I-45 northbound where TXDOT reported flooding at the FM 1097 intersection. Record pool levels on Lake Conroe required downstream releases that flooded numerous downstream homes, businesses and vehicles. Major flooding occurred along the San Jacinto River and the east Fork of the San Jacinto and its tributaries inundated tens to hundreds of residential subdivisions. There were hundreds of flooded homes along Lake, Spring, Peach and Caney Creeks. There were impassable roads due to high water at Horseshoe Circle and Painted Blvd off the Grand Parkway, 19000 block of David Memorial from Sam's Club to Shenandoah Park, the 11000 block of River Oaks Drive, the 45 northbound lanes at Highway 242 and Hines Road in Willis. Flash flooding led to numerous road closures including FM149, FM1484, FM1485, FM1486, FM1774, FM2090 SH105 and others.

They reported mobile homes were heavily damaged or destroyed in the area. A brick home had its roof completely removed. They also reported that the east Montgomery Fire Department was hit, with its bay doors blown in and metal roof peeled back. Texas SOC initial assessments indicated 80 homes with major damage in the Porter Heights area with 10 patients transported to local hospitals. ||The survey team had reported extensive damage across portions of Montgomery county. The damage path began in the Porter Heights area, with numerous homes and buildings damaged or destroyed. The path continue northeast all the way to the Splendora Junior High School, where light damage was found in neighboring areas with a clear damage path indicating where the tornado crossed the highway. ||In the end, the survey team concluded that this was a large tornado that reached EF3 strength, with damage in Porter Heights indicating peak wind speeds of 140 mph. Majority of the damage track was high end EF1 or low end EF2 damage.

There was one injury when a young boy was in a mobile home when the tornado picked it up and wrapped it around a tree. Damage to trees was extensive with many trees being snapped off above the ground. This storm was surveyed from the air and had continuous tree damage from Midway to Shepherd in San Jacinto County.

Wind damage to the County Fairgrounds in Conroe. Three businesses (Touch of Class, Mrs. Bairds Thrift shop and Auto Pro) were all destroyed in the Conroe area at HWY 75 & Hildred Ave. Highway signs blown down along I-45 between Conroe and Willis. Wolf Nursery greenhouse damaged at I-45 & HWY 105. Widespread trees down in the Grangerland area along FM 3083.

This small tornado tracked generally west-northwest to the |south of FM 3083 for about a mile. The strongest winds, likely reaching|90 mph EF1 range, was near the start of the tornado just to the east of|Longmire. Most of the rest of the tree damage was consistent with EF0 winds|before the tornado dissipated.
