This is the most westernly Depot in this county, on the G., H. d S. A. Railroad; and is delightfully located upon a high rolling prairie, overlooking one of the best farming sections in America There are no less than fifteen or twenty business houses in Weimar and her citizens are live, active aud progressive. There are many good farmers in this portion of the county, and all in a prosperou. condition. Weimar is fifteen miles from Columbus.

Osage

is also in the North-western portion of the county, five miles Nortl of Weimar, and twelve miles from Columbus. It is surrounded b one of the best settlements in the county. The lands are very pr< ductive and well timbered and watered. The Osage Institute is lc cated at this place and certainly one of the most desirable an* healthy locations in the State for an institution of learning. Th school is conducted by Major E. B. Carruth, who has a State repu tation as a number one educator.

The number of students in this Institution are sixty-five, in reg¬ ular attendance. Osage has a Church and Masonic Hall. Near the school (100 yards) is the noted Osage Springs, gushing from the rock in a bold stream. This water, as well as the Kessler Spring, are small thriving towns in the Western portion of the county, and surrounded by a productive country, a thriving and frugal people. The country is well watered and timbered. Content is about three miles from the G., H. & S. A. Railroad at Weimar, Oakland six miles.
