“The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is a botanical garden located in the cultural district of Fort Worth, Texas. Established in 1934, the garden is the oldest major botanic garden in Texas and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.”

Over 10,000 people were caught in the open with little shelter by hail up to softball-size. One hundred nine people were treated for injuries at hospitals, four people were in critical condition. Many injuries occurred as parents covered their children with their bodies to protect them from the hail.
