From the record
“The Ruth Paine Home at 2515 W. 5th Street in Irving, Texas, United States, is the location where Ruth Paine housed Lee Harvey Oswald's wife, Marina Oswald, for several months until the day after the assassination of President John F. According to official government investigations, including the Warren Commission, it was from the house's garage that Oswald removed the rifle used to shoot Kennedy, having previously concealed it there.”

The hail also damaged the TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas Country Club and golf course where the PGA's Byron Nelson Golf Championship was being held. Crews had to repair over 4,000 divots on the golf course before play could resume the next day. The greens of seven holes were significantly damaged. The hail at the golf course was reported to be up to baseball size.
Significant structural damage occurred to some homes in the Nichols Way neighborhood of Irving. Roofs were damaged, part of a roof was torn off a house, and siding was stripped off a few homes. Trees were also knocked down or large limbs were broken off.
Heavy rainfall flooded Trinity View Park and its parking lot, trapping a few visitors in the park. Several cars were flooded up to the door of the car, and three visitors had to be rescued by the Fire Department.
A Construction trailer was blown over, injuring 3 employees. Several other buildings sustained minor damage, sheet metal damaging a few trees and windows in a nearby office building.
Several high water rescues were needed in the county. Northwest Highway at Loop 12 was also flooded. Citizens of northwest Irving reported torrential flooding as well.
