Population over time
3 figuresGoldville grew from 37 to 52 between 2000 and 2020. These are the recorded population figures Wikidata holds for this place, reached through the Geographic Names Information System number this page is keyed on rather than by name, so they belong to this place and not to another of the same name. Most are census counts, but not all are: an early figure may be a founding or settlement estimate, and an estimate published within five years of a census is left out. The change column is computed, and is left blank where more than 20 years separate a figure from the one before it, because a gap that long is not a change between two counts.

| When | Event | Place named | Harm | What the report says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| May 2010 | Flash Flood | Goldville | $100,000 | A large area of Tallapoosa County experienced flash flooding due to a period of intense rainfall. The hardest hit area was Alexander City, where street flooding was described as serious, and several water rescues had to be performed. A culvert was washed out on County Road, near US-280 on the west side of Alexander City. Water rescues were also needed in the Hackneyville area, and Dutch Bend Road near the New Site community also became flooded. |
| March 2021 | Tornado (EF1) | Goldville | - | National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in rural northern Tallapoosa County and determined it was consistent with an EF1 tornado with maximum winds near 95 mph. The tornado first touched down in a remote area just east of Goldville, starting out very narrow but producing significant areas of uprooted trees and a distinct debris signature as it passed over harvested and unharvested forests. The tornado crossed Simpson Road before passing into Clay County. |
| April 2014 | Flood | Goldville | - | Three to four inches of rain fell across portions of Tallapoosa County causing area streams to rise, and water to flow out of ditches and across roadways. Many culverts were washed out, damaging many roadways in Alexander City and near New Site. Runoff continued for several hours after the rainfall ended around 8AM CST, and several roads remained temporarily closed. Roads that were severely damaged due to washed out culverts and pipes remained closed for several days while repairs were made. In addition, due to the saturated ground conditions, winds below severe criteria knocked down a couple trees near Reeltown. |
| January 2012 | Heavy Rain | Goldville | - | As heavy rainfall moved through the area, water covered several roads between New Site and Goldville. |
| May 2006 | Hail | Goldville | - | no account filed |
