The interesting architectural feature of this old sea-coast house is the two-storey porch on the front. The upper porch floor is directly over the lower, yet the lower porch roof projects out from the upper porch. This arrange- ment makes a double row of columns in the first floor porch. / Source of Material: E. Walter Burkhardt, District Administrator, HABS. Alabama Polytechnic Institute, Auburn, Alabama.
