Three to four inches or more of rainfall in one to two hours caused Sonoita Creek to overflow its banks into parts of Patagonia. Eight mobile homes were evacuated as a precaution with water 18 inches deep surrounding them. An additional 14 homes were also evacuated. Only minimal damage occurred to the skirting of these homes since they were elevated off the surface.
Strong thunderstorm winds near the Town of Patagonia caused a several hundred pound storage shed to be damaged when blown across a yard. Also shingles were torn off several roofs in a neighborhood.
Heavy rain of 1-2 inches along Sonoita and Harshaw Creeks caused flash flooding of rural roadways east of Route 82 northeast of Patagonia as well as Sonoita Ave in Patagonia.
A strong thunderstorm brought hail to the Town of Patagonia, with sizes of hail ranging from a quarter of an inch to over three quarters of an inch. Hail was covering the ground in some locations.
A trained spotter east of the Town of Patagonia reported that Cimmarron Road was impassable due to flood waters. The same spotter reported that they had received two inches of rain in less than one hour.
Heavy rainfall in Patagonia caused the streets to flood and the garage of the fire station to be flooded. There was not property damage, however the streets where impassable throughout most of the town.
