2. Jonathan Irving^ Buck (Jonathan,^ Jonathan^* born at Harwich 9 Oct. 1864, died 7 Oct. 1911. He graduated at Dartmouth, A.B. in 1889, A.M. in 1892, and was a special student of pedagogy, at Clark, 1895-97. He was principal of the High School at Hanover, N. H., 1889-92; superintendent of schools and principal of the High School at Warren, 1892-93; at Webster, 1893-97; at Lexington, 1897-1902; submaster of the Lincoln School, Boston,1902-09; and junior master of the Mechanics Arts High School, Boston, since 1909. He became a resident of Lexington in 1897. He belonged to Phi Beta Kappa and Kappa Kappa Kappa.
