Named in the 1883 county history

The history of Defiance County was published 25 years before the first of these atlases, and it names this establishment.

For two different periods Mr. and Mrs. Hogsett served as superintendent md matron, respectively, of the Highland Co. Infirmary. The remainder of heir married life, up to seven years igo, was passed upon their farm four ailes from Hillsboro. Their activities in the church and social life of Hillsboro made a large circle of friends 'or them in the town and section roundabout. Mrs. Hogsett was affiliated with the Methodist Church in early life, but upon coming to Hillsboro joined the Presbyterian Church, in which she continued a faithful mem- JftT up to her death. Seven years ago Mr. and Mrs. Hogsett, having retired from, their seven years' service as superintendents of the Infirmary, located upon their farm at New Vienna, about 10 miles north of Hillsboro.
