Named in the 1884 county history

The history of Norfolk County was published 10 years before the first of these atlases, and it names this establishment.

Rev. Henry Ware giving the right hand of fellowship. He soon became widely and favorably known as a most earnest worker and eloquent preacher, and probably delivered more occasional discourses than almost any other minister in the neighborhood. In the latter sermon at the dedication of a new Unitarian Church in Bangor, Me., and the society there prevailed on him to resign his pastorate here, and he was installed at Bangor in June, 1830. In the fall of 1833, his health failing under his numerous and onerous labors, he asked and received a dismission from that church, and spent the winter at Savannah, Ga., preaching to the Unitarian Society there. In 1834 he returned to the North with re-invigorated health, and was installed over the First Congregational Church in Milton (Rev. Dr.
