|---|---|---|---|---|
| August 2022 | Flash Flood | Klamath River | 1 hurt | Thunderstorms with very heavy rain moved through an area near the McKinney wildfire in the evening. Rainfall was estimated to be between 1 and 3 inches in an hour. This created a debris flow down Humbug Creek, on the eastern edge of the fire. Four vehicles were reported swept off a culvert over Humbug Creek, and videos showed the swiftly rising water in the area. One person had to be rescued from a partially submerged vehicle. He sustained injuries, but survived. |
| August 2023 | Heavy Rain | Klamath River | - | Thunderstorms with very heavy rain moved through an area near the McKinney wildfire in the late afternoon and evening, around 230 PM to 8 PM PST. Rainfall was estimated to be at a rate of up to 1 inch per hour, with 1 to 3 inches total. This created 2 mud slides that closed portions of Highway 96. The first was reported 2 miles east of the community of Klamath River at 327 PM PST, and the second 2 miles southwest of Klamath River at 635 PM PST. |
| August 2016 | Hail | Klamath River | - | Hail 1.0 inches in diameter was reported at Quigley's General Store near Klamath River. |
| July 2004 | Flash Flood | Klamath River | - | WSR-88D recorded precipitation rates of 3-5 inches/hour over the warning area. This value was likely polluted by hail, but it was thought that the precipitation rates were still signficant. The storm was slow moving and remained over the Beaver Creek basin for a long time. |
