Dotsero grew from 705 to 1,172 between 2010 and 2020. These are the recorded population figures Wikidata holds for this place, reached through the Geographic Names Information System number this page is keyed on rather than by name, so they belong to this place and not to another of the same name. Most are census counts, but not all are: an early figure may be a founding or settlement estimate, and an estimate published within five years of a census is left out. The change column is computed, and is left blank where more than 20 years separate a figure from the one before it, because a gap that long is not a change between two counts.

June 2011FloodDotsero-The Colorado River experienced elevated flows due to snow melt runoff from June 5th to the end of the month. Flood advisories or warnings were in effect through most of this time, with a few brief exceptions when the river fell just below bankfull. The main area of concern was from the confluence with the Eagle River near Dotsero to the County line just above Glenwood Canyon. Water quickly rose on the evening of June 6th when flood warnings were issued and remained in place through June 10th. Highway 6 at Dotsero was closed due to the high water levels reaching the bottom of the bridge. The river continued to reach or exceed bankfull conditions through the end of the month, except the period of June 19th through the 24th when cooler weather reduced the heavy runoff. Lowland flooding was reported through the month and some sandbagging of residential areas were required from near Gypsum to Dotsero.
