Whitfield grew from 295 to 312 between 2010 and 2020. These are the recorded population figures Wikidata holds for this place, reached through the Geographic Names Information System number this page is keyed on rather than by name, so they belong to this place and not to another of the same name. Most are census counts, but not all are: an early figure may be a founding or settlement estimate, and an estimate published within five years of a census is left out. The change column is computed, and is left blank where more than 20 years separate a figure from the one before it, because a gap that long is not a change between two counts.

January 2024Thunderstorm WindWhitfield-A significant swath of straight-line wind damage occurred with a line of thunderstorms moving across the Whitfield area just south of Berrydale. The swath began on Edna Lane where several trees were uprooted/snapped. As the winds moved across the open field to their east, they accelerated and impacted several power poles which were snapped midway up along Highway 87 North. Several tree snaps occurred to the adjacent tree stand on the east side of the Highway. A row of hay bales east of the highway had multiple bales roll in a divergent pattern across the field fanning out from northeast to southeast. The swath continued to the northeast, crossing Cedarview Road and then Whitfield Road. On Whitfield Road, numerous trees were snapped and uprooted, with this location likely experiencing the strongest winds near 100mph. The damage becomes intermittent beyond this point and much weaker.

April 2021Thunderstorm WindWhitfield-Three trees and power lines down on Hillary Thompson Road. A roof to a mobile home was also damaged. A shed was damaged as well.
