No death or injury is recorded in these reports. Each account below is quoted exactly as the forecast office filed it, from the NOAA Storm Events Database, and each date opens the federal record of that event.

The most pronounced damage pattern was in a small area of southern Captiva Island. Damage reached the Fujita Scale F2 intensity that was was mix of both tornado and hurricane wind damage, making an assessment difficult.
September 2004Tornado (F0)Captiva-A waterspout over Pine Island Sound moved west across Pine Island then into the Gulf of Mexico.
August 1999WaterspoutCaptiva-A waterspout was reported five miles south of Captiva.
