Regional context, not property-specific
evidence. The
federal wildfire occurrence database
lists 131 fires within 5 miles of Marian Fell Library
between 1992 and 2020, burning about 3,000 acres in total. 70 started naturally. 5 were recorded as arson.
Distance is straight-line from the map coordinates, so a fire counted
here may appear on a neighbouring settlement's page as well.

Regional context, not property-specific
evidence. The National Weather Service names
Fellsmere, the town this property stands in, in 15 storm reports between 1996 and 2023: 10 hail, 2 flash flood, 1 funnel cloud, 1 heavy rain.
No death or injury is recorded in these reports. Each account below is quoted exactly as the forecast office
filed it, from the NOAA Storm Events Database, and each date
opens the federal record of that event.
Emergency management confirmed a total of ten buildings with water intrusion in Fellsmere and Vero Lake Estates. Also reports that all lanes of 101st Ave were closed at 85th St in Vero Lake Estates. There was a petroleum spill due to eight stalled vehicles. In addition, all lanes of 79th St were closed in Fellsmere and two vehicles were stalled in Fellsmere due to the flooding rain.
Excessive rainfall from Hurricane Irma produced flash flooding in Fellsmere. Indian River County Sheriffs and Fellsmere Police rescued 12 people from flood waters and transported them in a high-water vehicle to the nearby Fellsmere Elementary School evacuation shelter, which was also surrounded by high water and impassible.
Weather underground site KFLFELLS9 measured 8.09 inches of rainfall. Emergency management reports most streets in Fellsmere have water covering them, up to a foot of standing water reported in some locations.
An Indian River County Emergency Management official observed quarter size hail in Fellsmere during a severe thunderstorm. Photos confirmed the hail size.
