3,959 words on this townshipHistory Of Dupage County (1857), published 1857 names this settlement in its chapter on Downers Grove Township. These are the passages that mention it, exactly as the scans read.
The population of Downer's Grove at this time is about 1,200. The people are chiefly engaged in agricultural pursuits, and hence the town contains no villages of much importance. Near the north east part of the town there is quite a smart little "huddle," generally known as Brush Till; but at present we believe it is dignified by the title of Fullersburg. The first settlement at Fullersburg was made by Orente Grant, in 1836.
