Regional context, not property-specific evidence. The federal wildfire occurrence database lists 3 fires within 5 miles of Bridge #218-Off System Bridge between 2017 and 2020, burning about 26 acres in total. None started naturally. None was recorded as arson. Distance is straight-line from the map coordinates, so a fire counted here may appear on a neighbouring settlement's page as well.

Regional context, not property-specific evidence. The National Weather Service names Beaver, the town this property stands in, in 15 storm reports between 1998 and 2023: 9 thunderstorm wind, 6 hail. No death or injury is recorded in these reports. Each account below is quoted exactly as the forecast office filed it, from the NOAA Storm Events Database, and each date opens the federal record of that event.
| When | Event | Place named | Harm | What the report says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| August 2011 | Thunderstorm Wind | Beaver | $40,000 | Winds estimated around 70 to 80 mph produced extensive damage to a church in Dubuque in northern Barton county. An outbuilding was damaged, along with the church steeple. Additionally, several windows were broken out of the sacristy, and a wall of a quonset hut was blown away. Just east of Dubuque, the storm produced damage to some homes in the form of broken windows, damaged siding and shredded roofs. Consequently, hail likely occurred at times with the wind, but exact hail size remains unknown. However, reports further northwest in Russell county suggest hail could have been up to golfball size. Some area crops were also heavily damaged, but damage estimates are unknown. Property damage amounts are rough estimates. The Great Bend Tribune was the sole contributor to this report. |
