|---|---|---|---|---|
| April 2026 | Thunderstorm Wind | Middle Grove | - | NWS storm survey found that just south of a tornado, rear inflow jet winds of up to 95 mph caused straight line wind damage in a swath extending from the Monroe/Randolph/Audrain county line northeast just beyond Monroe 931. Along this path, the survey team found multiple trees uprooted as well as structural damage. A home had shingles lost to the wind. A farm outbuilding was overturned, another completely collapsed, and a third had its doors collapsed. |
| April 2026 | Tornado (EF1) | Middle Grove | - | A brief EF-1 tornado touched down in southwestern Monroe County near Route M and Highway 151. The primary damage caused by this tornado was a farm just south of Highway 151. Numerous large tree limbs were broken on the property with one tree limb pointed to the west. One farm building was collapsed on the western side of the barn. The eastern facing part of the building which was attached to the cement slab was still standing, while the western facing part of the building had completely collapsed. Due to this, we estimated slightly below the expected wind speed which also matched the surrounding tree damage. |
| June 2020 | Flash Flood | Middle Grove | - | Up to five inches of rain fell in about a 3 hour period causing flash flooding. Numerous roads were flooded including Highway 15 south of Paris. |
| March 2006 | Tornado (F2) | Middle Grove | - | The tornado that hit Randolph County continued northeast into Monroe County southwest of Middle Grove. The tornado moved through rural areas damaging farm structures and trees. The tornado continued northeast causing tree damage to near Madison. Two miles south of Madison a mobile home was destroyed and a two story home was damaged. The damage was rated F2 at this location. The tornado destroyed another mobile home 2 miles southeast of Madison before dissipating. As this tornado dissipated, another formed just to the southeast. |
